What we do
Residential plumbing across Albany County, with the prices published and the warranty in writing.
Drains and sewers
A slow drain is cleared with a cable machine and checked with a camera, included in the $189. A main line gets the camera every time, and you keep the video. We recommend lining or digging only when the video shows a break or an offset, and we show you the frame.
Water heaters
If the tank is under eight years old and not leaking, we repair it. If it is leaking, we replace it the same day with a unit from the truck. Heat pump water heaters cut the electric bill by about two thirds compared with a standard electric tank and qualify for New York State incentives; we file the paperwork.
Leaks and repipes
A pinhole leak in copper is a $240 to $420 repair. Three pinholes in a year means the water chemistry is eating the pipe, and we will say so. A whole-house repipe in PEX for a typical Capital Region colonial runs $8,000 to $14,000 and takes two to three days with water back on every night.
Sump pumps and backups
A primary pump lasts seven to ten years. A battery backup covers the storm that knocks the power out, which is the storm that floods the basement. We test the float, the check valve and the discharge, and we will tell you if the pit is too small for the house.
Gas lines
Black iron or CSST for ranges, dryers, grills, pool heaters and standby generators, pressure tested and inspected by the town. We are licensed for gas work in every municipality we serve.
Fixtures and remodels
Faucets, toilets, shower valves, bathroom and kitchen rough-ins. We work from your contractor's plans or bring a contractor we trust.
